Road
We come now to the behavior of the new road Fiat 500C. The maintenance of the central pillars and arches makes little Fiat convertible over a "plaque" that have a cabriolet, the structural rigidity is almost similar to the sedan variant, with all the benefits of case-level dynamics. This configuration made it possible to keep unchanged, as already mentioned, the living: the coefficient of CX (aerodynamic penetration) did not significantly worse in the transition between 500 and 500C. A very important both for performance and for fuel consumption. Once behind the wheel of the car you can see for myself the best gifts telaistiche. The guide is lively, especially in the case of the 1.4 petrol 16V from 100cv. The comfort noise is considerable, up to 70 km / h does not feel special aerodynamic hiss.
From a structural point of view, the 500C is the compact model of origin (it is 355 centimeters long, 165 cm wide and 149 cm high), which agrees with all three propellers and bright green, the turbodiesel 1.3 Multijet 75 CV accompanied by a change in mechanical 5-speed transmission and two 1.2 petrol 69 hp and 100 hp 1.4, both available with change mechanical or robotic Dualogic.
For further confirmation of Fiat for environmental protection and sustainable mobility (Fiat is the manufacturer with the lowest average level of emissions, 133.7 g / km CO2), the new 500C offers the innovative "Start & Stop ". This device, already present on the saloon, automatically manages the temporary shutdown of the engine and the next restart when the car stops, putting the gearbox in neutral and releasing the clutch, the engine shuts off, is to allocate sufficient re driving. This special technology allows considerable fuel savings (up to 12% on the urban cycle) and significantly reduces noise. The "Start & Stop" will be available for the petrol variant with an additional cost of 300 Euro. The framework outlined so far is positive: a critique can move to the new Fiat 500C: yes, a small neo-existent rear visibility, with only discreet hood closed and the quite limited to the roof open. Nevertheless the small size of the car matched the precious parking sensors exponentially reduce the risk of scratching the precious plastic bumper.
