458 Italy Ferrari with Felipe Massa. First contact in the heart of the Maranello factory in the Brazilian driver Felipe Massa and the new Ferrari 458 Berlinetta Italy. The new road racing car of the Prancing Horse was introduced in Massa Ferrari CEO, Amedeo Felisa. As with all Ferraris, the aesthetic aerodynamic efficiency is crucially dependent on this new model generates, among other things, a vertical load of 140 kg to 200 km / h. The front is monobocca with side vents, with sections of profiles designed to convey the air to the radiator of the engine and the new flat bottom. Italy also has the 458 positioned in front of the radiator fins that generate both vertical load and, with increased speed, aero-elastically deform in order to reduce the input section to the radiators and thus the resistance. The new engine 4499 cm3 is the first V8 engine with direct injection of the House of Maranello mounted in the rear-center position, with high compression pistons very small, typical of racing engines and which helps to achieve a compression ratio of 12.5:1. Equipped with a traditional pot shaft, the engine delivers 570 horsepower at 9000 rpm and with a specific power of 127 hp per liter to reach a value from the absolute primacy not only for the range and history of Ferrari, but for the entire segment. The maximum torque of 540 Nm at 6,000 rpm, of which more than 80% is available right from 3250 rpm. The torque specification is a record: 120 Nm / liter. Another extraordinary achievement is in the high level of torque while maintaining low revs even to a great power. Clear, powerful and engaging and the sound of the engine being fed into the exhaust to the rear three tails.
